The Zoning Hearing Board is comprised of five (5) residents of the Township appointed by the Board of Supervisors to five (5) year terms. The Board may also appoint up to three (3) residents of the Township to serve as alternate members. The Township has appointed one (1) alternate. Among other responsibilities, the Zoning Hearing Board:

Hears and decides on appeals from any order or decision of the Zoning Officer in the administration of the zoning ordinance.

Hears and decides on requests for Special Exceptions where the zoning ordinance specifies special exceptions may be granted.

Hears request for variances from the provisions of the zoning ordinance.
Meetings are held as needed upon application to the ZHB. A hearing is scheduled within sixty (60) days of receipt of an application, with a decision rendered within forty-five (45) days after the last hearing.
